Airbus's moat is highly durable, stemming from the immense capital required for aircraft design, manufacturing, and certification, creating an effective duopoly with Boeing. Airlines face substantial switching costs (training, spare parts, maintenance infrastructure) once committed to an aircraft family. Its brand and intellectual property are globally recognized and protected.
